I sent a letter requesting information from my Senator Mark Warner - He garnered many Conservative Votes and then just left us hanging...

 When you were running for the Senate you appeared to be in favor for drilling for oil off the Virginia coast.  I wanted to know when this activity will commence so as to utilize our Virginia based natural resources? This is very near and dear to me because I believe it will help the poor and every day person in supporting the Virginia Economy, road construction and the expected tax increases within the budget you are in favor with. I wish you would have polled the people in Virginia before making such an irrational radical decision. A budget of $3.6 Trillion with a deficit of $1.2 Trillion I can't even imagine that much, can you?  Have you ever seen half of that money?  That is the debt you are leaving to my children.  In Virginia you needed to balance the budget.  What's up with that?

 Sometimes I wish our representatives Democrat or Republican would just answer to their constituents and not the respective national party committee. 

 I bet you also will cave in to the National Committee and say drilling will not get us out of the oil crisis.  Well, right now is the prudent time to prepare, while there is no major oil crisis.  I agree alternatives should be employed.  But, that will take a long time to fumble through.  We have no idea where it will all end.  What happened to Nuclear Power?   It's like you guys in Washington continue to just wing it without careful consideration to the ramifications you are creating for your constituents.

 You probably won't even read this.  You probably will have one of your staffers respond.

I still have not received a reply (4/8/2009)... Our so-called representatives do not represent their constituents.  America, Democrats and Republicans "Lets stop that, We need to inform our representatives who they report to!"...  I will continue to track and await a response.  I received a response in a Form Letter and it is attached here.  I guess I need to address him with a form letter.  Also, with regard to our Energy Independence, Here is Ken Salazar's request for input into drilling off our coast.  Virginia should be able to receive revenues from these explorations. Wow it is supposed to take 5 years - Hmm and were in a crisis.
